himalayanworkshops.jpg

We tweeted about it for a couple of days, but just in case you don’t follow any of us (we are @restofjonmiller, @nahlinse and @chrismarquardt on Twitter), here is the announcement again:

Jon, Monika and I will go back to the Himalayas in 2011.
We will take up to 15 photographers with us.
You can be part of this life-changing experience!

The official website has all the information:

» Kailash Workshop 2011

Toronto Meet-n-Greet tomorrow (Thu, Sep/23)

Sorry for the re-post, posting this too late, so I’ll have to use any outlet I can find to actually get this in front of some people.

Want to say hi, have a drink and a bite to eat? There will be a meet-and-greet the night before the Toronto workshop, and it’s OPEN FOR EVERYONE, not just for workshop participants.

So you won’t be on the workshop but want to say hi?

Thursday, Sep/23, 6pm, Wimpy’s Diner, 225 Church Street, Toronto

Again, this is open for anyone, so I guess I’ll see you there!

tfttf484 – Practice, Experiment, Delete – Tech Guy

techguy_tfttf_logo2.jpgChris says he takes pictures with the purpose of deleting them later. Often, he just does it to practice his style and shooting much like an athlete who practices his sport. This frees up Chris to experiment, make mistakes and try things he wouldn’t normally try when wanting to take a “keeper.” Then, when it really counts, you have the confidence to get a great shot.
